Bluegrass Program

We want you to be part of one of Bowling Green’s only bluegrass/traditional music programs!

Bluegrass Program

Bluegrass music is a huge part of Kentucky’s cultural heritage and we’re extremely excited to be able to offer you this opportunity.

We want you to be part of one of Bowling Green’s only bluegrass/traditional music programs!

This class is taught by pickin’ and grinnin’ professional and 2022 Kentucky Bluegrass Banjo Champion Jordan Riehm. He is also a member of local bluegrass groups Kentucky Shine and Buzzard’s Roost.

In the BGRBA Bluegrass Group Program we will team you up with musicians of varying skill levels and help you develop into true bluegrassers. We welcome musicians of all ages and all levels of experience – from beginner to advanced!

You’ll learn the hidden secrets of bluegrass jamming, improvisation, some of the history of bluegrass music, and you’ll even get to name your band.

Rehearsals happen weekly throughout a 9 week semester, and at the end of the semester your band will have the chance to mash on stage for all of your friends and family.

The band will get to come up with their own set list, and will get the experience of a true show.

Spots are limited per semester, so sign up now and don’t miss your opportunity to become part of the bluegrass family!
